Turning Point Tarot Card

My Tarot Card I Pulled

After  Writing This:

You'll understand once you read this week's Love-Letter.

I'm Tired, and I Need Some Help

This will be a short L-L today, as I need some rest and reflection.

Yesterday was my husband James’ (Tosh’s) 73rd Birthday. When I thought about not doing this Love-Letter this week, I was going to blame it on it being his Birthday weekend and that we’re too busy celebrating.

While that might be true, as I thought about it, I realized I was exhausted from having severe insomnia since early June, more than a month ago, after my now former PCP put me on Testosterone. It thoroughly whacked my sleep cycle, and she was unresponsive to my requests for help.

I finally slept well the past three nights after using red light therapy before bedtime. It has worked beautifully! I think I’m on my way back to healthier sleep.

So, going deeper, I found I needed a break to rest and reflect on my Mentoring path going forward. I have been doing quite a few different things to get women acquainted with me and my work, and they have not borne much fruit.

I’ve decided to take a break this weekend, both to celebrate my husband’s life and figure out the best way to become known to a wider world of women who would benefit from playing with me as their Miraculous Mentoring Maven; if you haven’t noticed I LOVE alliteration.

I was a perfectionist and consummate planner who spent hours of my time making things “perfect” learning about Instagram, Reels, Podcasting, Newsletters, Substack, Webinars, Classes, Medical Cannabis Consulting, in-person networking (which I was very good at, but now often find tiring)…merely reading what I just wrote is exhausting!

So, I’m taking some downtime this weekend to pick only two or maybe three things that resonate deeply with me and my current energy levels. I believe this is called “self-care,” my dearest Readers. If you’ve been around me for a while, you know this is one of my basic tenets, and it’s time I practiced it on myself in an even bigger way.

I have a BIG ask for you this week, a BiG one. I would love it if you could help me in this search and give me your ideas on only two or three things I can do to make myself more visible in a world where women my age are nearly invisible. I want to share my acquired wisdom and transformational skills to empower women who wish to have a Mentor/Guide to support them in their life transitions.

Let me be perfectly clear. I am not being sneaky, and hoping you’ll become my client. Nope, I need help, and I trust you to give me sound and loving suggestions. I feel pretty alone with this right now and could use your support as I find a new way forward.

I will eagerly accept any suggestions at taru@tarufisher.com. Or, if you prefer to do a Zoom with me so we can brainstorm together, book a Call-A Crone Virtual Chat, http://bit.ly/3GEKV1h

Inspiration

RESTING IS DOING

If only we could see the power in rest.
If only we could attach to it, the worth it so deserves.
If only we could open our minds to the idea, that everything in nature has its time to rise and its time to descend.
That each of these acts is just a important as the other.
And that is exactly as it must be.
If only we could see the courage it takes to lay aside the worries, the fears and the comparison, just for a few hours, to let the mind, spirit and body come together again.
Doing the one thing they all require so much… nothing.
If only we could see the power in rest.
Because resting is very much doing.

Love and Blessings,

Taru

P.S. I'm seriously considering moving my Love-Letter to Substack and providing a free version as well as a paid subscription model ($8 a month) with more perks and freebies. What is your preference?
